Cate Blanchett: gets her star in Hollywood

Australian actress Cate Blanchett has accepted the role of an Oscar-winner honored with her own star on Hollywood's old-school Walk of Fame.

Joking about where she thinks her star will someday end up, Cate told press, “I’m sure they’ll move me down to the men’s urinal several blocks down, but it’s incredible.”

While deeply committed to theatre and film in her home country, Blanchett has found the time to build an A-list international film career, including nominations for many Academy Awards.

Now 39, the mother of three and winner of an Oscar in 2005 for her portrayal of Katharine Hepburn in "The Aviator," last January she was nominated for best actress in "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" as well as for best supporting actress for her gender-bending turn as Bob Dylan in "I'm Not There."
